The Annobon White-eye is a small, unassuming passerine endemic to the remote Annobon Island in the Gulf of Guinea. Like other white-eyes, it features a distinct white eye-ring against its olive-green plumage.
Where to spot
Strictly limited to Annobon Island, where it inhabits forest, forest edges, and cultivated areas.
How to spot
Search for small, restless birds in the trees and shrubs. Their soft, high-pitched calls are often heard before the birds are seen.
When to spot
Present throughout the year, with greatest activity during morning and late afternoon foraging bouts.
