Where to spot
Endemic to the island of São Tomé in the Gulf of Guinea. It inhabits the primary montane rainforest.

Requires dedicated exploration of primary rainforest areas. Look for its massive bill and listen for its distinctive, heavy calls as it forages in the canopy.
