Primary lowland and lower montane rainforests of Peleng Island, Indonesia.
How to spot
Extremely difficult to observe due to its rarity and restricted range. Requires dedicated effort in undisturbed forest areas. Listening for its calls might be the best approach.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Active during the cooler parts of the day.
This thrush is highly localized and considered endangered due to habitat degradation on its small island home.
