Endemic to Palawan and some smaller associated islands in the Philippines, inhabiting lowland and hill forests.
How to spot
Look in the mid to upper canopy of forests on Palawan. Its yellow underparts and active foraging movements are good clues. Listen for its high-pitched, chattering calls.
When to spot
Resident year-round. Most active during the day, especially mornings.
Like other tits, the Palawan Tit is an agile gleaner, meticulously searching foliage and bark for insects, often hanging upside down to reach difficult spots.
