Where to spot
Endemic to Jamaica, found in a variety of habitats including woodlands, forests, gardens, and cultivated areas from sea level to mountainous regions.
How to spot
Look for their distinctive orange, black, and white plumage. Listen for their high-pitched, thin calls. They are often seen feeding at flowering plants or fruit trees.
When to spot
Active year-round. Best observed during early morning or late afternoon when they are most actively foraging.
