Where to spot
Found in montane forests and forest edges in parts of East and Central Africa, including eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, and parts of Uganda and Tanzania.

Scan flowering trees and shrubs within humid montane forests. Its bright colors are quite visible, and its persistent calls or songs can help pinpoint its location.
When to spot
Active year-round. Best observed during early mornings and late afternoons when foraging activity is highest. Look for it when flowering plants are in bloom.
