Where to spot
Found exclusively on Bougainville Island, Papua New Guinea, inhabiting lowland and montane forests.
How to spot
Search for small, active birds in the forest canopy and mid-story. Their high-pitched, twittering calls often indicate their presence.
When to spot
Active year-round, with peak foraging in the early morning and late afternoon.
