Where to spot
Endemic to the Kai Islands (Indonesia), found in lowland forests, forest edges, and cultivated areas with scattered trees.
How to spot
Scan the mid-canopy of trees. Look for typical cuckooshrike behavior. Local guides familiar with the Kai Islands' birds would be beneficial.
When to spot
Active during daylight hours. It is a resident species, observable year-round.
