Where to spot
Humid lowland and foothill forests of the Amazon Basin, ranging from southern Colombia and Ecuador through Peru and Bolivia into western Brazil.
How to spot
Look for it in mixed-species flocks, often in the mid-to-upper canopy. Its bright green and gold plumage can be surprisingly hard to spot against the foliage.

Year-round resident. Most active during the early morning.
