The Duida Flowerpiercer is a rather plain, grayish flowerpiercer with a subtly paler belly and the characteristic hooked bill. It is endemic to the unique tepui mountains of southern Venezuela.
Where to spot
Restricted to the high-altitude shrubland and stunted forest on the tepui summits and slopes of southern Venezuela, primarily on Cerro Duida.
How to spot
Look for it foraging in the dense, low vegetation of the tepui summits. Its relatively plain appearance requires careful observation and knowledge of its restricted range.
