Where to spot
Found in the canopy and borders of humid lowland and foothill forests across parts of South America.
How to spot
Scan the upper canopy. Look for flashes of color as it moves, and listen for its distinctive calls, often part of a busy flock.
When to spot
Active all year. Early mornings are best, as it often joins mixed-species flocks and forages high in the trees.
