Where to spot
Primarily found in Central and Southern Europe, extending into parts of Northwest Africa. They favor deciduous and mixed woodlands, often preferring areas with mature trees.

Carefully observe the tree canopy, looking for a small, active bird with distinctive eye-stripes and bronze patches on its shoulders. Listen for its slightly lower-pitched and more robust song compared to the Goldcrest.
