Open woodlands, cultivated areas, and near human settlements in northern Myanmar and Yunnan province, China.
How to spot
Look for its glossy black body with a prominent white collar around the neck. Often seen foraging in small groups.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Active during daylight hours.
