Where to spot
Inhabits the understory of humid lowland forests across the Amazon basin and parts of the Guianas.
How to spot
Listen for its distinctive, often clicking or buzzing calls. Search in dense undergrowth on the forest floor. They are highly skulking and require patience.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Most active during the early morning and late afternoon.
