Where to spot
Endemic to a very restricted area of humid montane forest in eastern Brazil, specifically in the state of Minas Gerais.
How to spot
Requires visiting its specific, restricted habitat. Listen for its unique vocalizations, as it is very skulking and difficult to see.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Most active during the early morning.
Its discovery highlights the rich and still-being-unraveled biodiversity of the highly fragmented Atlantic Forest.
