Discovered only in 2009, the Cambodian Tailorbird is a recently described species endemic to Cambodia. It inhabits dense scrub along the Mekong River.
Where to spot
Endemic to central Cambodia, specifically in floodplains with dense, tall scrub near the Mekong River.
How to spot
As it lives in very dense vegetation, look for brief glimpses of its grey head, black throat, and rufous-orange cap. Listening for its distinctive, loud call is often the best strategy.
When to spot
Present year-round. It is most vocal and active in the early morning and late afternoon.
