Spotted
The Brown-headed Thrush (*Turdus chrysolaus*) is a migratory thrush of East Asia, easily identifiable by its plain brown head and back, contrasting with a reddish-orange breast and pale belly. It has a yellow bill.
Where to spot
Breeds in Japan, Sakhalin, and the Kuril Islands. It migrates south to winter in southern China, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Southeast Asia. Inhabits forests, woodlands, parks, and gardens.
