The Bornean Leafbird is a vibrant green bird endemic to the island of Borneo. It is a canopy-dwelling species, contributing to the rich avian diversity of Borneo's rainforests.
Where to spot
Endemic to the island of Borneo, found in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei. Inhabits lowland and lower montane primary and secondary forests.
How to spot
Look for its bright green plumage and the yellowish-orange wash on its forehead. Listen for its characteristic calls as it moves through the forest canopy.
When to spot
Year-round. Most active during the early mornings and late afternoons when foraging for nectar, fruits, and insects.
