How to spot
Listen for persistent rustling sounds in the deep leaf litter on the forest floor. Remain quiet and scan the ground very carefully, as its plumage provides excellent camouflage.
When to spot
Resident year-round. Most active during the early morning and late afternoon when foraging for insects. Patience is often required due to its secretive nature.
