The Dark-capped Greenbul is an olive-green bulbul distinguished by its noticeably darker, brownish-grey cap. It is a common resident of various wooded habitats across parts of eastern Africa.

Found in East Africa, inhabiting a range of wooded habitats including forests, woodlands, coffee plantations, and well-vegetated gardens.
How to spot
Look for the contrasting darker cap on an otherwise olive-green bird. Listen for its varied calls and songs. It often forages in the mid-story and lower canopy.
When to spot
Observable year-round in its resident range. Most active during daylight hours, particularly in the morning.
