Where to spot
Endemic to the tropical lowlands of northeastern Mexico, particularly in Veracruz, Tabasco, and northern Chiapas.

Look in dense, low vegetation near water, such as marshes, wet scrub, and overgrown fields. Males often sing from exposed perches. Listen for its strong, distinctive song.
