Adelaide's Warbler is a small, bright warbler with a gray head, bright yellow underparts, a prominent white eye-arc, and a small black patch at the base of its bill (lores).
Where to spot
Endemic to Puerto Rico.
How to spot
Look in dry to wet forests, coffee plantations, and even gardens. It forages actively in the canopy and mid-story. Listen for its high-pitched, buzzy song, often with a rapid, accelerating trill.
When to spot
Can be observed year-round within its resident forest and scrub habitats. More vocal during the local breeding season.
This species is endemic to the island of Puerto Rico and is quite common within its preferred habitats, foraging actively in the mid-story and canopy of various forest types.
