The Mallard is arguably the most recognizable and widespread duck species in the world. Males have a distinctive iridescent green head, a white neck ring, a brown breast, and grey body plumage. Females are mottled brown with an orange bill. They are highly adaptable and found in almost any type of wetland habitat.
