Where to spot
Historically found in northern Venezuela and northeastern Colombia. Current wild populations are extremely small and fragmented, primarily in remote, dry forest and scrub areas.

If fortunate enough to be in its range, look for flashes of bright red in dry forest or scrubland. Support conservation efforts rather than trying to find them in the wild.
