Spotted
A tiny, elusive warbler, similar in size to the Rufous-fronted Tailorbird, with dull olive-green upperparts and pale underparts, often with a rufous wash on the head.
Where to spot
Humid montane forests, particularly dense undergrowth and bamboo thickets, in very restricted areas of eastern Tanzania.
How to spot
Extremely difficult to observe. Focus on listening for its high-pitched, rapid calls. Supporting conservation efforts in its habitat is crucial. Requires dedicated searching with local experts.
When to spot
Year-round resident within its tiny range. Observations are extremely rare due to its critically endangered status and habitat.
