Focus on dense forest undergrowth. Listen for its distinctive, often simple and repetitive song or calls, and patiently watch for movement in the shadows.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Best observed in the early morning when it may be more active and vocal.
This species is sometimes found in association with mixed-species flocks in its montane forest habitat, though it remains elusive.
