The Gray-headed Warbler is a small, active warbler with an olive-green back, bright yellow underparts, and a contrasting plain gray head.
Where to spot
Resident in the highlands of northern Venezuela.
How to spot
Look in humid montane evergreen forests, particularly along edges or clearings. It is an active forager. Listen for its high-pitched, somewhat buzzy song.
When to spot
Can be observed year-round within its resident montane forest habitats. More vocal during the local breeding season.
This species is often observed foraging in the mid-story and lower canopy of montane forests, actively gleaning insects from the underside of leaves.
