Where to spot
Endemic to the mid-altitude and montane rainforests of the Albertine Rift, specifically in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and Uganda.
How to spot
Focus efforts in dense montane forests. Listen for its distinctive calls. Look carefully in the mid-canopy, as it can be quite secretive. Utilizing local guides is highly recommended.

This species is named after Rudolf Grauer, an Austrian zoologist and explorer who collected specimens in Africa. Its restricted range makes it a conservation concern.
