The Tinian Monarch is a small, distinctive flycatcher endemic to Tinian Island in the Northern Mariana Islands. It is a common and conspicuous bird within its limited range.

How to spot
Look for its dark upperparts and pale underparts, and its active foraging behavior as it gleans insects from foliage. Listen for its relatively loud and varied vocalizations, often a series of whistles.

Year-round resident. Easily observed throughout the day, especially active in the mornings.
