Look for its long tail streamers, which are unmistakable. It often perches quietly in the understory or mid-story. Listen for its distinctive, often repeated, 'ko-ko-ko' calls, which are a common sound in its habitat.
When to spot
Active during daylight hours, often more vocal and visible in the early morning and late afternoon. It is a resident species, present year-round.
