Where to spot
Inhabits moist montane forests and cloud forests at higher elevations across the central highlands of New Guinea.
How to spot
Look for its overall green plumage with fine barring on the back and abdomen. Listen for its distinctive, rapid 'tsik-tsik-tsik' calls, often given in flight or while feeding in the canopy.
