A large, dark thrush with blue iridescence, endemic to the island of Borneo. It is typically found near rocky streams in montane forests.

Montane forests, especially along rocky streams and waterfalls, on Borneo (Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei).
How to spot
Listen for its clear, loud, whistling song. Look for it perching on boulders in streams or on mossy rocks nearby.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Most vocal in the early morning and late afternoon.
