The Abyssinian Lovebird is a larger lovebird species, predominantly green with a red forehead (in males) and black flight feathers. It is native to the highlands of Eritrea and Ethiopia.

Highland forests and woodlands of Eritrea and Ethiopia.

Look for small, fast-flying green parrots. Listen for their distinctive high-pitched, rattling calls as they fly or perch.
