The Aldabra Brush Warbler was an endemic songbird of Aldabra Atoll in the Seychelles, sadly declared extinct in the late 1990s. It was a terrestrial species, inhabiting dense coastal shrubland.

Extinct. Historically found exclusively in dense coastal shrubland and scrub forest on Aldabra Atoll in the Seychelles.

Extinct. Information on its appearance, behavior, and vocalizations is limited to historical records and museum specimens.
When to spot
Extinct. No longer observable in the wild.
The extinction of the Aldabra Brush Warbler is largely attributed to predation by introduced Black Rats (Rattus rattus), highlighting the severe impact of invasive species on vulnerable island ecosystems.
