The St. Andrew Vireo is a species endemic to Isla de San Andrés, an island in the Caribbean. It is a small, rather drab vireo, found in the island's remaining patches of scrub and woodland.
Where to spot
Endemic to Isla de San Andrés (Colombia), in the Caribbean. It inhabits dry scrub, gardens, and remnants of woodland.
How to spot
Listen for its characteristic vireo song, which can be a key identifier in its limited range. Scan the low to mid-level vegetation in remaining wooded areas on the island.
When to spot
Active year-round in its resident tropical island habitat. Most vocal during the breeding season. Best observed in the early mornings.
