A very pale small warbler with plain greyish-white upperparts, a whitish face, and pure white underparts. Its plumage is unstreaked and almost uniform in its pallor.
Where to spot
Dry acacia scrub, semi-arid savanna, and thornbush in East Africa, particularly in the drier regions of Ethiopia, Sudan, and Eritrea.
How to spot
Look for its overall very pale, almost bleached appearance. It often forages low in bushes or on the ground. Its calls are high-pitched and somewhat reedy.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Best observed in the cooler mornings and late afternoons.
