Where to spot
Found in Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, and Borneo, inhabiting lowland primary and secondary forests.
How to spot
Look for it in the mid-story and canopy of forests, especially near flowering trees. The grey chin and throat are the best distinguishing marks for identification.

Active year-round during daylight hours, particularly in the morning.
The Grey-chinned Sunbird is a specialized feeder that often forages at the base of flowers, piercing the corolla to access nectar, a behavior known as 'nectar robbing'.
