The East Coast Boubou is a species of bushshrike found along the coastal regions of East Africa. It shares similarities with the Tropical Boubou but is generally smaller and has subtle plumage differences.
Where to spot
Primarily found in coastal thickets and low-altitude woodlands along the eastern African coastline.

Distinguish from other boubous by its slightly smaller size and specific vocalizations. Look for its typical boubou appearance of black upperparts and white underparts, with less rufous on the flanks than some related species.
