The Chestnut-breasted Whiteface is a distinctive small bird native to the arid interior of South Australia. It is characterized by its prominent white face, dark cap, and a unique chestnut band across its breast, providing excellent camouflage in its stony desert habitat. This species is often seen in small groups.

Endemic to stony deserts and sparse shrublands of inland South Australia, with a very restricted and patchy distribution.
