Cabanis's Greenbul is a medium-sized bulbul with a greenish-olive back and paler, slightly streaked underparts. It is a common and vocal inhabitant of open woodlands and forest edges.
Where to spot
Widespread across Central and East Africa, inhabiting a variety of wooded habitats including open woodlands, savannas, forest edges, and well-vegetated gardens.
How to spot
Look for its general greenish-olive and pale streaked appearance. Listen for its varied and often loud vocalizations. It can be seen foraging in the mid-story and lower canopy.
When to spot
Observable year-round throughout its range. Most active and vocal during the early morning and late afternoon.
