The Peruvian Tanager is a beautiful species with an iridescent blue cap, green back, and yellow belly. It is endemic to forests of northern Peru.
Where to spot
Endemic to humid montane forests and cloud forests, primarily at moderate elevations in northern Peru.
How to spot
Look for it in the mid-story and canopy. The blue cap, green back, and yellow belly are characteristic field marks.
When to spot
Active year-round. Best observed in the early morning when foraging.
