Scan the mid to upper canopy of montane forests in Taiwan. Its black crest and clear facial pattern are unmistakable. Listen for its high-pitched, varied calls.
When to spot
Resident year-round. Most active during the day, especially mornings.
This tit is known for its energetic foraging, constantly moving through the canopy and sub-canopy of forests, often in mixed-species flocks.
