Western Amazon Basin, found in southeastern Colombia, eastern Ecuador, eastern Peru, and western Brazil.
How to spot
Look carefully in the dense understory and vine tangles of primary and mature secondary forests. Listen for its soft, often barely audible calls, as it can be very difficult to spot visually.
