How to spot
Spotting this bird is extremely challenging. Focus on listening for potential vocalizations in its very specific and dense habitat. It's an exceptionally difficult bird to find.
When to spot
Year-round resident, but its extreme rarity and localized distribution make any observation difficult.
Discovered in 2003, this wren highlights the incredible biodiversity yet to be fully documented in the shrinking cloud forests of the Chocó region.
