The Yellow-browed Tit is a small, active tit species found in East Asia, characterized by its olive-green back, white underparts, and a subtle yellowish wash on its flanks and a faint yellow brow.
Where to spot
Found in central and southern China and parts of Southeast Asia, inhabiting broadleaf and mixed forests, often at higher elevations.
How to spot
Look for it in the mid-story and canopy of forests. Its small size and constant movement make it challenging. Listen for its high-pitched, rapid calls within a flock.
When to spot
Resident year-round, though some populations may make altitudinal movements. Most active during the day, especially mornings.
This tit is known for its energetic foraging, constantly flitting through foliage and probing crevices for insects, often in mixed-species flocks.
