Kloss's Fulvetta is a localized species named after the British zoologist Cecil Boden Kloss. It is a small, active babbler of dense montane forests, often part of mixed foraging flocks.
Where to spot
Endemic to the high montane forests of southern Vietnam (Annamite Range). It prefers dense evergreen forests and bamboo thickets at high elevations.
How to spot
Look for its relatively plain greyish-brown plumage with a faint eye-ring. It moves actively through the mid-story and undergrowth. Listen for its high-pitched, rapid, and sometimes trilling calls.
When to spot
Resident year-round. Most active during early morning and late afternoon, often joining mixed-species flocks.
