Lowland and hill forests, including forest edges, in New Guinea.
How to spot
Scan the mid to upper canopy of dense forests. Look for subtle greyer tones on its face. Listen for its calls, which can help in locating it.
When to spot
Active throughout the day, often more easily seen during cooler periods.
This species is known to be primarily insectivorous, gleaning prey from foliage, but will also take nectar and small fruits.
